Doran Drive Plaza Public Art Planning

Gyde was engaged by Deicorp to prepare a public art plan for Doran Drive Plaza as part of the Hills Showground Precinct development, adjacent to the Hills Showground Station at Castle Hill.

The purpose of the plan was to demonstrate the policy, planning and cultural context to provide a foundation for the proposed public art, and the response to the site that identifies the proposed location, the commissioned artist and concept design for the development.

In preparing the plan, Gyde worked with the nominated artist to refine the location and develop the artistic response. As part of this process Gyde also collaborated with an Aboriginal artist to curate all artworks on the site, ensuring a consistent approach to Country.
