Meet The Capital Region Team
Mel Kruz, Director
Mel Krzus is Gyde’s Director in the Capital Region. She has over 16 years’ experience working across metropolitan and regional NSW, and the ACT, for clients in government and the private sector. She has a strong foundation in statutory planning and works across a diverse range of sectors. She has an unwavering attention to detail, and a particular interest in complex, staged development proposals, State significant development and infrastructure applications, proportionate environmental impact assessment and managing architectural design competitions. Mel is accredited in NSW as a REAP (Registered Planner with Environmental Impact Assessment). She advocates for positive planning change as a committee member of the Planning Institute of Australia Planning Committee (ACT Division) and the ACT Property Council Retirement Living Committee.
Mel leads the Capital Region team with Associate Director Natalia Anderson.
Natalia Anderson, Associate Director
Natalia has over 9 years’ experience working across the ACT and NSW in a wide range of sectors, with a special interest in the aviation sector. Natalia is approachable and pragmatic, always seeking to find innovative planning solutions for her clients. Having worked for almost a decade in the ACT, she has developed relationships across the industry and has provided strong advocacy through PIA (current president of the ACT division) and the PCA as the ACT has navigated significant recent planning reform.
Andrew Golden, Senior Associate
Andrew is a professional planner with more than 12 years of experience across government in NSW and the ACT. He is highly experienced across both statutory and strategic planning, with a particular expertise in high-profile, urban renewal and precinct planning projects.
Sam Burns, Senior Project Planner
Sam has experience that spans both the public and private sectors in NSW, with a particular expertise in regional and rural planning and industrial (including State significant) development.
Lauren Daly, Senior Project Planner
Lauren has extensive experience in preparing DAs in both NSW and the ACT, across a range of sectors, and regularly manages consultant teams and the planning approval process.
Our team of senior-level planners is supported by the broader Gyde team of more than 50 planning and allied services professionals.
