Are you a town planning professional who is keen to have exposure to a variety of planning projects encompassing all types of development?  

Gyde is looking for a Project Planner with minimum of 2 years working experience to join our statutory planning team.

About the role

If you are successful in this role, you will have the opportunity to:

·       interpret planning legislation and associated regulations, development controls and policies

·       liaise with clients, consent authorities, government agencies, and other professionals

·       assess and report on the environmental impacts of proposed developments

·       develop project methodologies and associated budgets for inclusion in fee proposals

·       identify and assess the development potential of properties

·       prepare a range of reports including statements of environmental effects, planning proposals and submissions to local, district and regional planning panels

·       prepare advice and assessments across a range of planning matters

·       manage individual projects on a day-to-day basis.

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate energy, initiative and a willingness to learn and develop.

The following minimum experience is required:

·       have worked in planning and development in the public and/or private sector, ideally with experience in engaging with clients, technical consultants and other stakeholders

·      a comprehensive understanding of environmental planning legislation and approvals processes

·      well-developed project management and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise, implement instructions and complete tasks unsupervised and in a timely manner

·      strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·       the ability to write clearly and concisely

·       relevant tertiary qualifications and a commitment to continuing professional development.
