Chris O’Dell, Director of Data Analytics at Gyde, has partnered with Claire Daniel, Research Associate at the University of Sydney, to launch the NSW Urban Data Network.
The Network brings together people who are passionate about working at the intersection of urban planning, data and technology. It marks the beginning of a new, inclusive community focused on connecting people, sharing ideas and learning from each other, regardless of role, organisation or level of experience.
As the urban data and analytics industry continues to evolve rapidly, driven by new technologies, growing data availability and increasing complexity in our cities there has never been a greater need for collaboration across sectors. At Gyde, we believe that strong networks and open conversations are essential to building capability, supporting innovation and strengthening the industry as a whole.
The NSW Urban Data Network aims to help bring people together, foster meaningful connections, and support the continued growth and maturity of the urban data community.
The inaugural event will be hosted at Gyde’s Sydney office on 19 February 2026, providing an opportunity to meet fellow practitioners, contribute ideas, and help shape the future direction of the Network.
