Project Planner

GYDE Consulting (formerly City Plan Strategy & Development) is a team of 45 highly respected planning specialists operating from offices in Sydney, Newcastle and the Capital Region.

We have a reputation for delivering high quality work resulting in exceptional, practical and realistic planning and development outcomes for both the client and the community as a whole. We regularly provide advice to state and local governments including assistance with strategic analysis and policy formulation, in addition to preparation, assessment and independent review of planning proposals and development applications.

Are you a qualified Planner who is keen to have exposure to a variety of projects encompassing all types of development while working as part of an enthusiastic, collegiate team?

GYDE Consulting is looking for Planner to join our team.

The successful applicant will:

.         Interpret planning legislation and associated laws, regulations, development controls and policies

·        Assess the development potential of properties

·        Assess and report on the environmental impacts of proposed developments

·        Make written and oral submissions to Councils, State Government, as well as local, district and regional planning panels

·        Liaise with clients, consent authorities, government agencies and other professionals

Required skills and experience:

·        Solid understanding of environmental planning legislation and approvals processes in NSW

·        Well-developed organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise, implement instructions and complete tasks unsupervised and in a timely manner

·        Outcome focus with attention to detail

·        Professional and courteous attitude

·        Minimum 1-year professional experience in a full-time statutory or strategic planning role

·        Relevant tertiary qualifications.
